Amazing HVAC -This is a family operating company- they live in Federal Hill so they know exactly what is going on in these rowhouses… the owner/principal is the one that came out on both of our service calls and he explained exactly what our issue was both times and taught me about my system. (two separate problems). Each time we called for service-they were able to come out the next day- they answer the phone after hours. Wayne Trackney- All About Air. Phone # 443-694-1601. I have a fantastic HVAC guy who I’ve been using since I bought my house in SoBo in 2003. He put in my furnace (no problems with it since 2003), he did my duct work, and he just put in a new central AC unit for me. He’s always on time and if something comes up it’s never anything stupid and he calls. He does the biannual furnace check and AC check at a reasonable price. I’m never using anyone else. The one time he couldn’t make it due to a family issue, he sent a super nice knowledgable replacement. The problem turned out to be my gas line (BGE fixed it).

~Westland Management- Bill West is a local from South Baltimore and he was able to renovate our home with new floors, new drywall, additional new wall in kitchen, repoint exposed brick, new ceiling fans and all the trim in about 9 days. ~handyman- Warren. His number is 410.300.8845. He’s trustworthy and always does a good job for a reasonable price. He’s fixed roof leaks, installed a new A/C unit, and has fixed everything else that we’ve needed.
~Matt and Mike Knoepfle who own Building Character, right here on Marshall Street, are awesome! The quality of work in our house is superior to most that I have seen. They are good, honest guys who subcontract with folks that are licensed and who work to Matt and Mike’s high standards. They guarantee their work and do a range of job sizes although they are not ‘handy-men’. They’re here on Facebook:

~We subcontracted via Building Character with Masons Extreme for a new cornice. They were quick and worked on Saturdays for our project. We gave them a picture of the cornice style that we liked and they replicated it for us.
~I wanted to provide you guys with an outstanding contractor that I found to provide our neighbors. His name is Patrick Pfeiffer and he has been working on my roof and flooring since the hurricane from August. Pat has been truly outstanding! Not only has his work been exceptional but he has been honest, trustworthy, generous, and truthful. Not only that but once we signed the contract he found that the work would not be as expensive as he expected it would be he immediately discounted my agreed upon rate.

Jones Appliance Services -2086 Jasmine Road, Baltimore, 21222. Telephone number: 410 388 1706. They are reliable and I didn’t feel they took advantage me in any way. I needed someone to repair a washing machine which the brother-in-law of the owner did for me fairly quickly after he ordered the needed belt. He was pleasant, courteous and knew what to do. I hope you will put the name of this company on your list of recommended companies and contractors.
